Pop-Up Cards

My students made pop-up cards for Christmas and I thought that we would also make them for Valentine's Day as writing choice.

Here are directions:
Fold a piece of card stock in half.

Cut 2 slits on the creased side of the folded paper.  I cut about 1 1/2 inches high and about 2- 2 1/2 inches wide.

Open up the paper.  Pull the rectangular shaped slit inside of the card.

The paper should be inside the card.  Close the card and crase the edges.

Open up the card and you should have your pop us base!

*Next, you need to add another piece of cardstock paper on the outside so you can't see the cut away.

*Make a heart, banner etc. and clue it on the vertical part of the pop up base.

My kids get VERY creative using these.  I also teach them how to make a pop- up beak as well and we make pop-up penguin cards.  ;)

Just a reminder that I will draw TOMORROW for who gets my free Laffy Taffy pack!  ;)

If you would like a chance to win, just leave a comment on the Laffy Taffy post with your email.  ;)

Have a great week!  ;)
