Common Core Desk Plates and Library Task Cards

As I have been looking around at different desk plates- I just cannot find exactly what I want.  I ordered the Phonics Dance desk plates but they were not exactly what I thought that they would be- so I returned them.  So- I finally made my own!

I also adapted some Library task cards that I made a few years ago.  At my new district, the teachers are the "librarian" for their class.  I will have my kiddos have paper or notebooks and post-it-notes.  This gives them something to do as I check out their books.

I also have this item included for kiddos that are waiting to choose their book.  They also will hopefully have access to magazines or something else as well.  :)

FOR SOME REASON- tpt ISN'T WORKING THAT WELL!  I CAN'T UPLOAD THE LIBRARY TASK CARDS YET.

It has fun and engaging activities to do organized by the new common core standards. You gotta love people that take the time to do that and give it away for FREE!  :)

I don't think that it has ever been this long since I've posted!  I actually took a personal day today to catch up on some things.  1.  I slept in   2.  I registered for a team event in May   3.  I am going to blog stalk and blog!!!!!  I don't even care if I get other things finished!  :)

common core math standards

I have started looking at the common core standards and breaking them into quarterly expectations.

I also am trying to add more Blooms type of questions to my lessons.  I think that it is something that I have to write down or I just always steer towards the easier questions.

Here is what I have so far for 1st quarter:

Hopefully it will go well!  Now- tell me why I am working on things for next year and not what I need to do this week?  lol.
